Is there a way to show only the map without the listings?
This is not currently possible but is a planned feature. Once implemented you’ll be able to go Directories –> [Your Directory] –> Content Types –> Listing –> Manage Views and use the [drts-directory-view] shortcode generated there.
How can I have breadcrumbs for my directory?
- If using WooCommerce, one can use the native WooCommerce breadcrumb feature.
- You can also use Yoast SEO or Breadcrumb NavXT to provide breadcrumbs, and these support including taxonomies in breadcrumbs.
Can I have a default placeholder image added to the category listing pages as well when an image is not specifically associated with a given listing?
Yes. Directories –> [Your Directory] –> Content Types –> Listing –> Manage Displays –> Detailed. Enable the Display No Image image if nothing to display option.
How can I remove icons from categories?
In the Manage Displays section of Category.
Can I get a copy of the the demo site?
You can get a copy of customizations to the Storefront theme’s style.css here.
How can I display portions of a listing in a sidebar?
You can use the Display Element Widget.
If I don’t want to use the Homepage Control plugin to create the main page of my directory, how can I accomplish this?
- Components provided for use with the Homepage Control are essentially wrappers for different views (that are displayed using the [drts-directory-view] shortcode).
- On the demo site the Browse by Category, Popular Locations, Recent Listings, and Recent Reviews sections are all rendered using the [drts-directory-view] shortcode.
What theme is used on the Directories Pro Demo Site?

Can I choose custom icons for categories or am I restricted to those you include with Directories Pro?
